This volume could be seen as a sequel to Fung Ping Shan: "The Man, His Life and His Library" by Cornelia Nelly Lichauco Fung and Y. C. Wan. To inherit his father’s commercial empire, Sir Kenneth had to drop out from his university studies, thus abandoning his pursue of a Chinese studies degree at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Chinese but commencing a magnificent chapter of his life that altered forever the history of Hong Kong. Besides his family business, Sir Kenneth promoted or participated in numerous cultural, educational, and charitable causes. Sir Kenneth’s multifaceted life was a microcosm of Hong Kong’s trials and tribulations from 1911 onwards.
